Air Travel tips for Vegas?? Just not as good, now?

Hi all.

How can we find fair flights tor Vegas when we already have rooms. Calling direct for flights sometimes works good. Their web is not always friendly. Google or whoever usually direct us to cheap elites etc. The pitch us on rooms, cars and deals. They bombard us with low ball deals once they get our email. We bite finding only have one seat and second seat up charge or other things.

I’m still wrestling with promo codes… What outfits give good promo codes. I looked on AARP and couldn’t make out much. Spirit $9 fare club isn’t bad…But it ain’t 9 bucks. I’m considering junkets? I travel from Pittsburgh. Any ideas would be interesting.

In past we called few air lines or called travel agency… Ready to travel quickly at fair rate. Rates should be dropping because of cheaper fuel, I hear. Haven’t seen it.

Cheers … Jeep

Shop for tickets on Mondays (when lower priced inventory sometimes is made available) , fly on Tues, Wed, and Sat. Those are slower days for travel. Otherwise always buy 31-60 days in advance for the best price, fly out of lower demand cities (for example if you live in LA its often cheaper to fly out of Burbank or Orange County than LAX.). There is a ton of info on the internet. Do your research and due diligence. Look at it as a fun way to game the travel system just like people love to play Video Poker. AP is AP.

Thanks for info.

Makes sense to me. My take on air travel, they not so “friendly” today. I like to book directly. I have heard that Price Line or others may take carrier out of control when flights canceled or other problems, having to go back to Price Line for help. Wondering which organizations may get some discounts, if any? Checked Sams or Costco and can’t seem to get info unless joining club. Same with AAA or AARP, gotta join to find out.

I’m not traveling till end of March. I got time. Sometime, I’ll go on spur of moment if, i see sale. March has time constraints.

Thanks again…Jeep

I am a Sam’s Club, AAA and Costco member. Usually Sam’s Club & Costco offer fairly good deals on packages like air, hotel, car rental but I haven’t seen any good rates on items purchased separately. AAA is about the same on flights but discounts on hotels are usually good. Try Skyscanner.com
