After three years I finally realized something (slap!)

Tell me you aren't Kevin or his intellectual twin brother.

I have had experiences on various VP boards and newsgroups,
including VPFree, Skip Hughes' group, the LVA message boards, etc.
that have puzzled and angered me; a friend of mine, who no longer
posts on this or any other board due to experiences similar to mine
(but orders of magnitude worse), concurs in this idea. To wit:

I wrote privately to Rockof... regarding this post and simply
presumed he was Kevin Lewis so I asked about the results of his
suspicions (and request for data from list members) voiced on
Player's site especially about flushes coming up short. No response
whatsoever.

I know Kevin and Statman (speaking of, whatever happened to him??)
were tracking the flushes on multiline machines. I seem to recall
that the number of flushes was well below the expected amount from
the data they gathered. Anyone recall the specifics?

Actually I do remember Statman asking the board members of Player's forum
to start keeping track of 4 flush draws on multiline machines. I kept track
of mine for about two LV trips and didn't hear anything more about it. So I
then emailed Statman asking him what became of this project. He wrote back
and said that the response to this had been little to almost non-existant.
FWIW, my results for a few hundred 4 flush draws were slightly above normal,
however this is of course statistically insignificant. So nothing was ever
proven either way, which was not surprising to me. Keeping track of these
draws was tedious and time consuming and well, rather boring.
My opinion is that the machines are not gaffed. I think people vastly
underestimate the volatility of playing multiline machines and the bankroll
needed to avoid risk of ruin. And even more so nowdays with positive games
becoming less frequently seen and the games offered tending to be more
volatile (ie Super Aces 10/6 DDB, SDB, TDB etc) , even with the possibility
of over 100% return over time with cash back and bounce back.
Kevin L. was talking about suspected gaffed machines back in the late
nineties but apparently still plays the games himself the last I heard.
That I don't fully understand, but that's not surprising either. As I have
drifted on into middle age, I realize I know more about life than I did, but
part of that realization includes the fact that in reality, I don't know
very much.

I actually wrote a VERY long post and was attempting to post the
finished product when I got an error message saying the VPFree board
was "unavailable". I hit the BACK button and to my disgust, the
message had NOT been saved.

Since it took about an hour to write, I was reluctant to redo it
just then. I've been busy the last couple of days; I'll post it
tonight if I get a chance.

By the way, I'm NOT Kevin Lewis, and I will NEVER reveal my actual
identity. Kevin is a friend of mine, and after what he went through
with emails and slot club barrings, point destruction, etc. (he lost
a quarter million AZ Charlie's points-poof) he is just about fed up
with the whole mess. He's now set his sights on sports betting and
live poker, and is doing quite well at these. He feels that VP is no
longer worth the time or effort.
