After The Buffet - Then What?

It is common knowledge about the Wynn introductory offer of two free
buffets for relatively little play.

But then what? Have any of you been getting good 2 or 3 night offers,
maybe with giveaways or tournaments? How about RFL?

An executive host at another first-class property said the Wynn is
similar to the Venetian in that you'll get the room, but then fight
like crazy and still not get your meals picked up.

I am not paying for food in Las Vegas. When I was RFB at Paris but it
excluded Eiffel Tower I refused to eat there. Meanwhile, they had no
problem comping endless $25 glasses of very aged single-malt Scotch.

Whatever.

So, please confirm what has happened to you at the Wynn AFTER your
free buffet.

My wife and I (mostly I) did about $85K coin in during a one week trip
in October. We had about $125 knocked off our hotel bill at the end of
the stay in addition to whatever free play/"cashback" we earned. We've
gotten, I think, one snail mailing and one email offer since then.
Both of them I assume were offers made to anyone on their mailing list.

Actually I don't expect to get much based on our gambling action. I'm
a little surprised they aren't marketing more actively to previous
guests though, especially ones who run up hotel and dining bills in
the thousand dollar a night range.

If we expected to be comped meals at high end eateries in Vegas we'd
get mighty hungry. The folks at Eiffel Tower are always happy to see
us and invariably give us a window table with a great fountain view.

I had signed up in November and got the 2 free buffets for my 50 points, but
never earned the 500 points needed for the additional 2 free buffets. They
explained that I needed to start over and earn the 750 points. They then
gave me one free buffet as a courtesy when I explained to them it was all
very confusing and that it wasn't explained to me that way when I signed up.

My wife and I each earned more than 500 points. I took the 2 free
buffets on my acount, but not my wifes. Does anyone know if there is
a "time limit" for taking advantage of the 2 buffet offer?

Last July (before the 50 point buffet offer) I visited Wynn and
earned 650 points in a couple of hours; 500 pts were earned playing
$1/$2 JB, the remainder was $1 slots. I earned (but did not use) 2
free buffets and $10 Free Play. The boothling assured me that I
could use both of these at a later date (within a year). I hope to
redeem these in March.

So... what has come in my mailbox as a result of my play? One
pathetic offer for 2 free nights 12/18 - 12/22. A whopping 5 nights
to choose from. This offer arrived on 12/10. I am not sure why
they even wasted the paper and postage... how many people travel
across the US in December on a few days notice?

Others have written of nice tickler offers after playing at Wynn for
one session. I don't understand what I did wrong. I also wonder if
I will have any trouble redeeming the buffets and FP earned last
July.
