advice for low-roller, long introduction

Hello,
I'll be in Vegas Feb 17 - 21. We're staying at Circus Circus, and
will have a car and are not afraid to drive. Where might I find some
decent nickel machines so I can stretch my small ($300) bankroll?
I'm quite comfortable with jacks or better, and am practicing deuces
wild with Bob Dancer's WinPoker software. Are there other games I
should learn? Am I on the right email list?

A bit of background, I used to go to Vegas several times a year and
used to play quarters and dollars. Financial trouble (not due to
gambling!) the last few years has kept me from much gambling except
for the yearly trip to the riverboat.

I'm 40, married for 20 years, and am meeting a friend I met 30 years
ago when we were living in Texas because our dads were in the army
together. She knows of my financial problems and she's buying my
plane ticket for my birthday! She gets 2 nights free at Circus
Circus because it's her birthday.

I have several video poker books and both Frugal Gambling books by
Jean Scott. I plan on couponing as much as I can. I don't like
table games and don't care much for slots, but am reading up
on "Wonging", if that's the correct term.

Thanks for reading, I hope to be an avid reader, participant, and
video poker player. Actually, a few years ago my dream was to be
just like Jean Scott and I finished her 2nd book last night and
started dreaming again. I met her at her garage sale when she moved
from Indiana and bought a few things for my Vegas-room.

I would recommend driving to Fiesta Henderson.
They have many 5c full pay vp in the "Optimum Play" machines.
There is FPDW, Full Pay Deuces Wild, with 100.76% return with correct strategy.
They also have a decent buffet upstairs.

From the vpFREE database here is a list of all casinos with full pay deuces. The nickel machines are mentioned where available.
Stick with the nickel deuces, it is one of the easiest games to perfect and has a high return.

If you learn Double Bonus, you can play 10/7 DB in nickels at the
Golden Nugget. A little bit lower paytable (9/7) is available at the
Orleans in nickels, but they have a lot more machines.

Winpoker and vpFREE are very good words to have in the vocabulary.

CC could be a zoo. Slots-o-Fun is small but a riot. The Ho also
offers some .25 Jacks/progressive.

Nickels only- try the Plaza for Jacks in those Game Kings by the
vale/doors. Or for wilds the one and only one 17/10 LD game left in
the world at the Fitz.

Try MSS for FPDW or Jacks at the quarter level. You also can play
Illinios Deuces for nickels there too.

I would hope $300 would get you through 4 days playing quarters about
half the time.

also suggest only one of you join the slot club, but both play on the
same card (request a duplicate) in order to maximize your chances for

A fun game which I got 4 Deuces on last night--Yay, Me!

Note: the strategy is somewhat different from lower paying Loose Deuces.

wife likes them).

I don't care too much for their buffet, especially after seeing a
cockroach scurrying under the plates on the dessert table. Want a nice
buffet?...try Paris(at least it was good last time I was there). I
would also recommend the GN for the 10/7 DB triple play in
nickles. I believe the database also shows 10 cent triple play db at
Arizona Charlies.

We were not staying there but "earned" our
buffets on the nickel machines in less than 2 hours.
