advantages of 7 Star

Don't play to try to get 7 Stars - not worth it. But if you happen to reach
that level - great. The major advantage is that you get to the front of the
line at check-in, many restaurants, and sometimes even at events such as
tournaments. The already good level of service gets even better, with some
people almost kowtowing (bowing obsequiously) to you when they see the card.

The second advantage is the free trip for 2 people to any Harrah's location.
If this is a cross-country trip, plane fare could be worth perhaps $800.
You'll also get an invitation to 1 special 7 Stars party a month, with gift.
Not all that great (I didn't need another set of wine glasses last year, and
I didn't go this year to get a leather jacket, since I figured it probably
would be man-shaped rather than women shaped from other leather jackets I've
seen given out from Harrah's.)

If you are really close at the end of the year, you might want to play a few
thousand extra points to get it. But otherwise, don't play 10s of thousands
of points you weren't planning to play to get this level.

Thank you for replying. I appreciate your input. There really doesn't seem to be a great deal of difference in perks between Diamond Class and 7 Star Class considering that one only requires 10,000 points and the other 100,000 points !

It has been suggested to me that promotions are rigged for the bigger players to win the big ticket items though (like cars, etc..) I don't know about that....I guess I just prefer to think it is fair. I have known of several 7 Star players to win cars in Tunica but never thought it was rigged.

  Take care,

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with any intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways -- Chardonnay in one hand -- chocolate in the other -- body thoroughly used up , totally worn out and screaming " WOO HOO, WHAT A RIDE"
