There are 3 of these types of rental car companies; Advantage, US Rent and Practical. They are all smaller companies with older vehicles. I think they are located near the Enterprise rental car office so they are are not on rental car row. They make up for these issues by having lower prices.
I have rented from US Rent a couple of times and it's a mixed bag. They have smaller fleets so if they sell out, you might have to wait, even if you have a reservation. I had a car not start at the airport and the repair person got dropped off by his company and had to walk over to where the car was. I ended up giving him a ride back to his office.
If you're flying solo and want to save some dollars, it's an option. If you want to avoid any chance of problems, I would stick with the bigger companies.
You could always get a reservation with both Advantage and with Thrifty and if the Advantage one works out, cancel the Thrifty and you're all set.
