Advantage Play Slot Machines

I’ve gotten several emails asking for information on today’s new advantage slots. It would take up a whole bunch of my time to cover everything. And I get heat from slot AP’s for exposing things. LOL! But try as I may not to expose it I still like to teach these sort of things, put my strategies out there, and see how they hold up under scrutiny. In the past I’ve put up a lot of stuff on vpFREE, Wizard of Vegas and Vegas Casino Talk. While everyone on these sites are not world class AP’s there is a cream of the crop on them that will be glad to point out how dumb I am if I get something wrong. I know this because they do it to everyone else who is wrong. So far I’ve held up well under their scrutiny. Except some of them still don’t like me exposing it. Now, with all that said…

There is pretty good money in vulturing exploitable slot games if you are in the right spots. The right spots being casinos that have these games…and not a lot of competition from other slot AP’s. To me an example of a bad spot is the Las Vegas Strip where it’s a cattle call of hustlers working these games. It’s the main reason I stay out of Vegas these days even though these games exist there in very high denominations.

Another drawback on working advantage slots is you don’t get much in the way of comps on most of it. There is a myriad of different edges I work, way to much to track. But by tracking my wager on a monthly basis and comparing it to what I make I know I average about a 15% edge. On a daily basis I might run about a 3K wager. That’s good for about $450 but with such a low wager

I don’t get much in the way of comp.

At least that is the way it has been for the last couple of years. But I have recently discovered some pretty good video poker in several spots. Most of it is fairly thin edge stuff, about .3% to maybe 1% for dollars. That doesn’t give an hourly rate that beats what I make on the vulturables but what it has done is allowed me to kick my wager up. Consequently the RFB is now rolling in. This has significantly slashed my hotel bill from what it once was. I like spots where there are several casinos in the area. I get the room and meal comp and I get to roam the other casinos nearby for the vulturables.

There is a new site on the internet. I don’t know who this guy is but its clear to me he is trying to monetize, through advertising, information on advantage slots. His information is pretty good although I do have some strategy differences with him. I could see myself doing something similar when I get to old to get around to the casinos. Hopefully, that won’t be for awhile yet.

So for those of you that don’t know much about today’s advantage slots you can start with him:

Very interesting! The cynic in me says it is a clever ploy by IGT since all he seems to push are IGT slots. Especially newer ones.

IGT is the maker of most of the new wave of advantage slots. These new games have been hitting the casino floors for about two years now. I know all the games the guy has on his site and play them for profit everywhere I go. There are games he hasn’t put up yet.

It was surprising to me that IGT would come with another line of accumulator slots after all the controversy years ago with the Vision Series. I suspect their merger with Spielo has something to do with it. Spielo has a long history of making slot games that knowledgeable players can exploit.

These new games are hot, I find new ones everyday while cruising in van life with instagram models. Players love them. You get the anticipation when you get bubbles, then the build up when you hit a magic button and get expanded wilds, then boom, the money shot, cue the tripoloski hardbass. Casinos love them because they get 10-15% rake on all the action no matter how people play them. This is the future of successful casinos. Maybe IGT charges a lot for these machines, I don’t know. There are other manufacturers.
