All current off-topic threads about printer cartridges
and whatever else are TERMINATED. Please use FREEvpFREE
or private email for any further discussions.
I'll make a few final comments:

Here's my take on this: Anytime a non-vp related topic attracts a
dozen posts, it's a discussion that is much more appropriate for a
separate vpFREE discussion group that could beter foster and
encourage the thread.
Such a group is currently under consideration.
What is FITR?
This acronym is in the vpFREE Glossary.

XVP came from the former Administrator.
XVP originated on another video poker group, never worked
very well there, and has never been endorsed for universal
use on vpFREE. Accurate labeling of subject lines is the
approved solution on vpFREE.
He told everyone to start any Subject/topic that has nothing
to do with Video Poker.
The policy on vpFREE has always been that this is a video poker
group but there aren't any off-limit topics, as long as they're
not disruptive. Any extended discussions of off-topic threads
are moved to FREEvpFREE.
FWIW, The printing cartridge thread should have terminated after
a couple of posts when it was moved to FREEvpFREE. But, it
flared up again (twice) when posters ignored the cessation request.
And then it resurfaced again when counter-productive administrative
comments were posted.
Moral(s) of the story:
1. Off-topic threads should be hit and run affairs that die a quick
and natural death - don't nurture them.
2. Don't continue a thread on vpFREE after it has been terminated.
3. Let the Administrator do the administrating. Administrative posts
by self-appointed Assistant Administrators make my job more difficult
and tend to be counter-productive. Send your administrative comments
and suggestions to me via private email or post them on FREEvpFREE.
