I looked at these 25c FPDW at MSS this afternoon. All
six are now 99.92% Triple Deuces Wild (variance of
96.5).

That leaves 10/7DB and there are better places to play DB. I think it
may be adios Vegas/Las Vegas for me. Thanks for reporting on this.

Too bad. This is a lose-lose. I've rarely seen anyone playing Triple
Deuces at other Boyd (Coast) properties or the Station properties that
have it. The variance keeps knowledgeable players away while the
unsuspecting less knowledgeable players get burned out on it quickly.
A better deuces wild game for the players and for MSS would have been
99.96% APDW with its lower 25.5 variance.

This is getting ridiculous. First, the Suncoast has dropped almost all (I counted 4 machines left tonight, maybe more as I didn't check everything) 50-cent NSUD. (The banks near the Showroom and the Cafe are history.) The bank of $1 NSUD is still there, surprisingly. Then I read about all the shenanigans at Orleans. Then Main Street Station gets rid of its FPDW. I know I read in the paper a week or so ago that Boyd might be taken over. Is this the reason for all these downgrades? I'll tell you one thing -- if Suncoast completely guts their .50 NSUD, I'll start playing at the Rampart --- or maybe even Red Rock! At least I've won nearly $400 at the Suncoast the last two nights without hitting anything better than a wild royal.

Takeover target, plus all the Stardust execs have been farmed out.
Just MHO.

Well, it would seem the Boyd has woken up, taken a look around its
casinos, and noticed just how many savvy locals love to play slots.
So why not install more slots and remove some VP. Might as well
downgrade the VP too; people will play anyway. As I have said
before, I have always been astonished to see just how many Suncoast
patrons play nickel 6/5 DDB.

I hope the Suncoast leaves some decent machines for you.

The player ignorance is unbelievable. Even the quarter 10/7 db
progressive machines at 4 Queens have had 4 or 5 bad games added on
which are not even part of the progressive yet I am often the only 1
of the 12 playing db on them. Sometimes same on the $1/$2 10/7 db (&
other garbage) machines. People will play ddb regardless of how
little they get for FH/FL.

It is pretty simple Michael Gaughan who was running Coast is out of
the company now taking back the Southcoast - now Southpointe for his
Boyd stock - you all remember that Boyd bought Coast a little bit
back right - well they never really merged anything other than back
office - the Coast casinos were being run as Coast - now with
Gaughan out, Boyd has brought in people from the Stardust which they
closed and some from downtown to run the Orleans and one of the
other Coast properties that I cannot remember.

At the very LAST Dinner Party Promo at Stardust, management
introduced their casino hosts/hostesses/slot supervisors/managers and
announced where each one of them is going. As I can remember, there
were at least 4-6 of them going to The Orleans, others going to Sam's
Town, etc.

Last month, I saw these former Stardust personnel running/walking all
over at The Orleans already. In one of the latest big promo/drawings,
the stage where the drawing was being held was already dominated by
the former Stardust people. Slot Tournaments similar to the ones at
Stardust can now be seen at The Orleans.

Downgrades happening left and right...not a surprise at all!
Hopefully, Boyd's casinos don't have a saying like "If Harrahs
remains strong/profitable with their downgrades, let's just follow
the leader.".
