At the very LAST Dinner Party Promo at Stardust, management
introduced their casino hosts/hostesses/slot supervisors/managers and
announced where each one of them is going. As I can remember, there
were at least 4-6 of them going to The Orleans, others going to Sam's
Town, etc.
Last month, I saw these former Stardust personnel running/walking all
over at The Orleans already. In one of the latest big promo/drawings,
the stage where the drawing was being held was already dominated by
the former Stardust people. Slot Tournaments similar to the ones at
Stardust can now be seen at The Orleans.
Downgrades happening left and right...not a surprise at all!
Hopefully, Boyd's casinos don't have a saying like "If Harrahs
remains strong/profitable with their downgrades, let's just follow
the leader.".
It is pretty simple Michael Gaughan who was running Coast is out of
the company now taking back the Southcoast - now Southpointe for
his
Boyd stock - you all remember that Boyd bought Coast a little bit
back right - well they never really merged anything other than back
office - the Coast casinos were being run as Coast - now with
Gaughan out, Boyd has brought in people from the Stardust which
they
closed and some from downtown to run the Orleans and one of the
other Coast properties that I cannot remember.
