Add $750 to any Handpay

I got this promo card from Caesars AC for a date in August.

I'm thinkin the best ways to use this promo are:

1. go for 4OAK on the $10 machine ($1250 payout + $750 coupon)

2. Use the $1 (or higher if available) 50-play machine
max bet for $1 denom is $250 ..... as soon as the total payback for a
set of 50 hands is $1200 or greater it becomes a handpay and would
then qualify for the $750 bonus coupon

3. kinda scary but actually thought about.....
the $100 machine... 3 of a kind for $1500 would qualify for the
$750 bonus

Another thought, does anyone know if these machines ($10 or $100)
have the double up feature? If so that would make it even easier.

Any thoughts on these ??

Or anyone have any ideas on generating a handpay?

Any thoughts on these ...

What are the details of your offer?

Is it good for a specific time period, or only once?

Well, I'd take a shot at high limit and then quit.
With a stake of $4000 ( thats 80 plays) I'd go for the $10 9/6 Jacks in the high limit.
Any hit of 4Oak or higher , gets you that hand pay plus $750 bonus .

If you take your 4000 and play until you either get the hand pay
(and the extra $750) or go broke, then you will get the hand pay 84%
of the time. You will lose $4000 the other 16% of the time. Ouch.

You can use Dunbar's Risk Analyzer for Video Poker to do this type
of calculation. Just create a custom game using 9/6 JOB payoffs and
frequencies, except put in huge payoffs for Quads, SF, and RF. I
used 100,000 coins for those payoffs. If you then set the "Short-
term RoR" to go for 5 hours at 500 hands/hr and put in a "Goal" of
+$10,000, you will find that you either go broke (16% of the time)
or hit your "Goal" of +$10,000 (84%). The "Goal" in this case is
merely a counter for when you hit your bonus hand. In fact, by 2000
hands you have either hit your handpay or gone broke.

I'll take a look at $2 DDB later if no one else has.

However you decide to play the offer, take great care in choosing a
game that's consistent with your bankroll. On such a play you might
easily find yourself sunk in for $3000+ (and quite possibly $5000+)
before hitting that handpay.

If that won't be cause for "buyer's remorse", then it may be a good
option (if that game (or other suitable $5 games) are available).

$5 9/6 DDB is listed on the Caesars AC DataBase page:

$5 9/6 DDB has similar Goal/Ruin characteristics as $10 9/6 JOB.
With a $4000 bankroll, you'd go broke 17% of the time before getting
a handpay while playing $5 9/6 DDB. (vs 16% playing $10 JOB)

With a $2000 bankroll, you'd go broke 42% of the time playing $5 DDB
vs 40% playing $10 JOB.

It depends on the hand-pay amount. One promo I played was if I get a
w-2 ($1,200 aka the hand pay) then the casino gives me an extra $500,
and the extra $500 was unlimited. The catch was it was only 4 hours
a day.

I played $5 8/6 Bonus Poker Deluxe at 3 coins, which was exactly
$1,200 for any quads. It was a 105% opportunity -- the alternative
was to play max coins and have 3 shots at hitting the bonus (RF, STFL
and quad). I rarely play $1 video poker so stepping up to $5 was a
big jump and going 4 hours without a quad was scary!!

The purpose of this post is to look outside the box. By using 3-coin
(short-coin approach), it neutered the effect of the royal flush
since a royal was 250 for 1 versus a quad at about 113 for 1.
However, the quad cycle was about 411 hands while the royal was about
55,000 hands.

Given the high payout bonus ($750), you might want to look at short-
pay tables where the quads are fat (pays 50 or more) and that tends
to hit much faster.
