Howdy
I recently passed on a frivolous giveaway at the TP in AC. Then I found out
after the fact that I could have gotten cash in lieu there of. I wanted to
kick myself in the gluteus maximums.
My question is there always an cash option in these matters or does it
depend....?

I have had limited experience with the gifts at TP but on one occasion I was
offered cash instead of the gift but on another occasion I was only offered
the gift. The latter was a gift certificate so perhaps the cash option is
only available for "physical" gift, if then.
