[acvpp] Re:Input needed for new casino

I think that it's rude for a person to prop up her feet onto the table that holds the slot machines. I don't know about the ladies' rooms, but I do see the floors in the men's rooms, so I know where these shoes have been. Not only do we have to put up with the stench from smelly feet, but our drinks, and ladies' pocketbooks, that are placed where some choose to put their urine-coated soles become contaminated with germs.

In a related area, I would guess that at least 1/3 of men that use the urinals exit the men's room without washing their hands. These same germ-laden hands are the same ones that handle the dice, playing cards, door-handles, and the slot-machine buttons. Perhaps the new bathrooms can be designed so that a person must exit via a path that passes the sinks, and go through a turnstyle that is locked until the soap and water are used. Until then, we should all memorize the message that I say to these non-handwashing slobs: "Don't wash your hands, pal".

Who feels the same way about propped-up feet and unwashed hands?

Amen to that! Are adjustable chairs out of the question? I would love to
be able to adjust the height of the chair. Too much reaching up kills my
arms. I usually prop my feet up beside the machine and rest my arms on my knees,
but sometimes it is too high. My feet fall asleep after a while.

Playing in Vegas this summer, where some casinos have chairs or stools that
you can actually move to exactly where you wanted them was a pleasure. Of
course, the height was not adjustable, but it was better than what they have
in AC.

Personally, I don't set anything on the counter that I want to eat.
Only the unused bottom portion of the cup is on the counter.
Sometimes propping up your feet is the only way to comfortably sit at
an uptight(upright) machine for hours. I've seen both sexes and all
ages of people do it. If you are unduly concerned, use a wet-napkin
to wipe the counter off before you place your purse  on the counter.
I've also been known to take off my shoes briefly, although I don't
place my socked feet on the counter. I place them on top of my shoe
because I don't know where the carpet has been.

Now if you want to complain about the miserable people that pop gum
next to you, I'm for that. It makes me want to pop them in the mouth.
Of course, the main solution for people that upset you is to MOVE
yourself.

Lou and Ron-
I got a kick out of both of your posts.

Best policy is to wash your own hands before you eat.

I reminded of a classic joke. A man walks onto an elevator
with only a woman inside. He asks her if he can smell her
panties to which she replies disgustedly, 'of course not', he
replies, oh it must be your feet then.

True, some don't understand that one machine area per person. It is unfortunate that the non offending person (feet not between machines, stinky or otherwise, non smoker, clean person) has to move to get away from this is unfortunate. If there are many of the machines desired fine with a place to move, but what if not?

Among other things, one important thing you forgot on your list were
the spoons and tongs at the buffet!
