Sometime ago, someone recommended this:

"If you can't stand (or it bothers you) seeing someone hitting BIG
on the machine that you just left to change machines, make sure that
you move to another machine that is FAR enough that you don't see or
hear anything that goes on in your previous machine."

This thing doesn't bother me so it's okay for me to move to the very
next machine. And it I've seen more of the reverse of your story
where Player-A leaves machine1 losing a lot, then Player-B plays
machine1 and also lose a lot, then Player-C comes and plays the same
machine1 and lose also (this happens quite often in Indian casinos).
So at least what you've witnessed showed that the machines you were
playing are paying off!
