Regarding all the hoopla at Harrah's over their new Total Reward Bonus
credits etc...
Just got back from trip to two Harrah's properties. On Sunday checked into
beautiful view Mardi Gra tower comp room for 2 nights in Vegas. My husband , who
enjoys gambling more than I do, played all night $1 JB8/5 because that is
what he likes, I still do not understand the new system of Total Rewards but
seems to rack up points faster. Was also comped Skintight show, the dancer Zach is
gorgeous. We are platinum status, Will be returning to Vegas in 3 weeks and
staying at Rio, on another comp, which they offer us constantly due to living
in Los Angeles.
Then on Wednesday we went to Laughlin Harrahs, Total Rewards points did not
carry over from Vegas. Didn't play much at Harrahs, Went to the Riverside and
Edgewater to play table games. The Edgewater has Full Pay Multigame Quarter VP
in the bar at the Kokopeli lounge. It was the only FP VP machines I found in
the 3 casinos I visited. Personal note, I have not been to Laughlin in almost
4 years, we own a boat and last time there, car broke down coming back to CA
and hubby upset so decided to keep boat in town and just go to Vegas to visit
friends and casinos. We were surprised and the very dissapointing service at
Harrahs Laughlin. When checking in the clerk acted as if she was doing us a
favor because we were getting a comp room and my mom , also platinum level, asked
for views and adjoining rooms. When we called to make reservations casino host
did not mention we could not have these amenities which we did have in Las
Vegas Harrahs, my mom so mad.....We ended up getting the view rooms but not
adjoining, because too tired to wait for them to clean more rooms in a half empty
hotel. I now see for myself the effect all the Indian Casinos in CA are having
on Laughlin. Casino's not crowded, especially Harrahs. Service at Cafe Cabo
in Harrahs TERRIBLE, waiter on drugs?
Will check into balances on Total Rewards on Internet and try to figure it
out....but Harrahs Laughlin only has full pay on $5.00 level VP machines.
