Leading Edge's game of Ace Invaders received a lot of publicity when
it was first introduced. Are there any full pay versions around? I
believe full pay would be 10/6 which is 99.92%. The best I have seen
anywhere is 9/6 which is only 98.86%.

9/6 I believe is 99.62, 10/6 is I believe 100.28. (99.92 makes a good
trivia question-name 3 games with that ER). The only place I've seen
the 9-6 (which I reported) is Barona in Southern California (San
Diego), for dollars in their high limit room.

Where did you find 9/6 and what denom? The best I've ever found was in Vegas at Sams 8/6 quarters.

I got the return numbers from the Wizard of Odds web sight.
However, you are right! I was looking at the return for the one row
analysis. The returns for the Three-Hand game are similar to what
you stated. From the Wizard's site, the returns are: 100.29% for
10/6, 99.56% for 9/6, amd 98.84% for 8/6.
I did see the $1 9/6 Ace Invaders machines at Barona-San Diego in
the high limit room. I also saw 2 machines at Harrah's Rincon in
smaller denominations. I think they are $.05, $.10 and $.25. I
believe they were also 9/6, but maybe not. Maybe one of the regular
visitors can check those two machines out. They are in the back very
opposite of the High Limit gaming area.
The machines at Rincon and Barona started me thinking about Ace
Invaders and I remembered "The Wizard of Odds" site had the game
analyzed . Michael Shackleford said that Treasure Island had an 8/5
(98.3%---not good). The Wizard site has a play strategy and you can
practice the game on the Leading Edge site.
Maybe you can look at his site and tell me why the Index for the
strategies, (numbers 8,6,9) and (numbers 14,16,15) are not in order.
The list is obviously in order according to Expected Value. These
two sets of Index numbers are not. I am probably missing a simple
point similar to when I reported the expected returns wrong.
I posted this question on the Wizard's sight, but certainly do not
expect to receive an answer. He allows for questions, but I do not
think this is one he will answer publicly on his site.
