Ace Invaders

I am currently playing Ace Invaders. I read the posts in question. I
still have questions about other hands.

1. If an Ace is better than a low pair, do you hold other high cards
with the Ace? Ex: As Kc Jd 2h 2d I would assume holding other high
cards with the Ace.

2. Do you split up two pair(Aces and something) or Aces full? I would
assume not, but I could imagine seeing people do these in a casino.

3. Jack 10 or Jack Ace? Queen 10 or Queen Ace?

Yes, it's a fun game. But, many of us online are getting the 5 aces
with relative ease. BUYER BEWARE - you should never assume actual
casino play will emulate how the online games play.

Thanks to all that responded. As playing on line and in the casino -
those are 2 are different. I would never play it for much in a casino
and only once probably just to try it for real. Then back to duecs
and db.

In Ace Invaders do not hold other high cards with the Ace unless you
are going for a three card Royal Flush. Never hold unsuited high
cards with the Ace. Always hold the two pair even if one pair is
aces.

On another note, as one who worked closely with Leading Edge Design
and IGT in developing Ace Invaders, the online version of the game
plays fair and on average you can expect the same frequency of hands
on the internet version and the casino version. Almost everyone of
my friends that has played Ace Invaders in the caisnos has hit the
Five Aces. It is a frequent hit of about every 1700 games.

How about a 4 card flush or straight with an ace?

In Ace Invaders I always keep a four card flush with an ace. The
only four card straights I keep are 2,3,4,5 and T,J,Q,K because they
both get an extra chance of improving by having the ace fall into
place.

I want to correct some information I gave out in an earlier post.

In Ace Invaders if you have two pair and one pair is Aces, just keep
the pair of Aces. It is a huge EV difference. I was thinking of
the scenario where you have two pair and an Ace, in that scenario
you keep all five cards (as strange as it seems).

Thanks for the info. I will definitely check it out when I am in Vegas
later this month. Is Ace Invaders a quarter game? Also, what are the
typical pay schedules?

Mathew-Hope you post a report when you get back. This game is a blast
to play (based on online messing around), and I've been following this
discussion closely. I'll be in LV myself in January.

Like others, my big question is whether anyone has done the
calculations on this game.
