Flew back from a 16 day trip at O'Dark thirty this
morning from a sixteen day trip to LAS and Laughlin.
Broke about even, here are a few highlights. First,
driving from the GVR to the Plaza, stopped at
Terrible's to pick up a t-shirt. Played a few minutes
of bj, grabbed the shirt and headed for the cashier's
cage to cash my few chips. Spotted a $1 progressive
sitting at $44xx, so played for five minutes or so
when I was dealt an Ace high straight. Contained the
diamond King, the rest spades so I sacrificed the d
King to see it replaced with the spade King!! $4424.
Somebody asked me how long I had been playing it while
waiting for the paper work etc. The Plaza had sent me
a marketing mailer with two 5X points coupons and two
drawing tickets. First drawing was Thursday night, I
"won" $100 but only collected $50 since I was at the
Larry Jones show when my ticket was called. Was
present (playing bj) at the Vegas club when my ticket
was called for another $100 and in the driveway of the
Plaza at 10:00 PM hen my number was called for $1000!
Each win also came with a polo shirt! Another
highlight was dinner with Scot Krause at the Outback
Steak House this past Sunday and lastly was playing a
3 play $1 8/5 Bonus machine last night five minutes
before going in to see Jubilee at Bally's (comped, of
course) when I drew 3 fours on the bottom line and
naturally hoped that I would hit one quad. Would you
believe, TWO quads! worth $200 each and I cashed my
TITO ticket for $501 five minutes before show time. I
also hit a Royal at GVR playing five play quarters for
$1000 on a two card draw my third night of the trip.
16 nights, nine different hotels and I brought back
seven shirts. Paid for nary a meal, still gained
weight, damn!!
