AA missing from Harrahs

This is all due to the $2 and $5 machines that were recently added. After
their existence was posted on VPFree, people came in from out of town and tied
them up constantly. The management finally figured out that AA was a positive
game, so they ripped out all the AA including quarters. I don't expect we
will see it back. Your choices now are: learn to love Pick Em; play at Isle of
Capri, the last remaining place in KC with full pay AA; or do like I did and
take up selling on eBay to bring in the extra money.

It was fun while it lasted. I will miss all my casino friends. Farewell to
all. Hope to see you at the Diamond Crystal brunches while we are still all
Diamonds and 7 Stars.

We stopped by Harrah's this morning to cash in our weekly coupons and
noted the six remaining 9/6 JoB machines upstairs were dark (3 dollar
and 3 quarter). I strongly suspect they are on the way out. That
will leave only Pick'Em as full pay at the quarter level.

On a brighter note: In Ameristar this afternoon both Lucky Lucy and I
hit Royals. First time ever that has happened. Each was on the
5-play quarter JoB machines. This makes 4 Royals in 4 weeks. Looks
like our loosing streak from hell is finally over.

Rick

Congratulations on the Royals!

I won't be able to get to Harrah's until the middle of next week, but
when I do I'll take a look upstairs and see what's happened to those
uprights with 9/6 JOB on them. I hope they're only dark so they could
be converted to TITO.

More on the AA burn-out in Harrah's KC. From a reliable source: There was a team from Las Vegas, 3 people, who played the $2 machine for a week. They stayed at Harrah's hotel and each took an 8 hour shift on the machine. They tied it up and played it constantly 24 hours a day for 7 days.

I am not that familiar with Missouri Gaming Commission regulations but I strongly suspect they only recourse Harrah's had was to take the machines down. Don't believe they have the same liberties with customers found in Nevada, i.e., "We don't like you playing here so hit the road." I also suspect these were high end players with 7-star cards and Harrah's wouldn't want to offend them anyway. So the machines were taken out of service. But Harrah's told the "source" they are going to bring back the AA machines. Just hope they are not short pay like in Ameristar.

I just returned from a night in KC.

All PE machines at Harrahs now pay zero Bonus RC's. The (6) upright
GMakers are still OOS.
