a whole lot more on new Harrahs Total Rewards

Go to the Harrahs.com website and log on for a whole lot more information on
the new rewards system. Basically it looks like it now takes a lot less play
to get a "Basic" reward point. Then on top of that you get "Bonus" reward
points based on which machine you play (and possibly other factors such as
demonination, win/loss, length of time, etc.). These bonus points apparently will
be at least 2 times the Basic points so you could figure that at least 3 New
points = Old points, but since the Basic point requires less play than the old
system, it might be closer to 4 or 5 times (perhaps someone can figure this
out).

As explained on the website, this is why you have to pay more reward points
for
comps than the old system - you get a lot more reward points for the same
amount of play.

Whether the two systems actually balance out or comps will cost more will
take some time to figure out. Cashback apparently will be higher, but will be in
"bounceback" checks of some sort, which you have to get on a future visit.
If the time period to cashout isn't long, then a lot of people will lose
cashback. But assuming you can get cashback, the cashback will be higher.

Apparently comps can be saved up to get better gifts or comps and can be used
anywhere. I'm not sure if cashback checks can be cashed anywhere or not.

At any rate you can now log onto the website and see your total accumulated
Rewards Points....as well as a lot more information on this.
