A Week In The Life (formerly Re: Horseshoe "Bonus Poker")

OK, I believe you, since you've been around this site forever and I trust
your report.

This site has gone straight to hell in a handbasket. Paladin now gone.
Mickey Crimm won't post here any more, due to attacks by other posters.
Jean Scott rarely posts here and Bob "Love Me or Hate Me" Dancer never, ever
shows up. Four of the best players in the country, run off for once reason
or another. On top of that, the database is unreliable at best. Quite
frankly, I fail to see the any reason to continue my personal involvement.
Paladin wasn't the reason for my decision, he was the proverbial straw vs.
the camel's back.

It seems that all I see here any more are people whining about smokers or
sneezers or any number of things that happen when you are in a very public
area. Damn few provide any useful information because they want to keep it
to themselves, they're afraid of the burnout artists moving in. Fine.
There's no reason to stick around at all. Y'all have a good time, ya hear?

Paladin has started an appropriately named Yahoo Group... "Paladinspulpit". It might be by invite only but since you're one of the VPFree sharps, I'd guess you would be approved for membership. If nothing else, reading Pally's rants against the VP establishment are always entertaining.

People need to utilize a variety of information sources to reach intelligent conclusions. For example, if you watch only MSNBC (or only FOX NEWS, for that matter) you are not getting a balanced interpretation of world events.

The same holds true for video poker. I do not depend on vpFREE for all the information I need to make my decisions about how I gamble my money.

The administrators of this wensite have the right to exercise their judgment about who should be allowed to post and who should not. It is not "muzzling". They are not in any way obligated to let anyone post as they please.

But, don't misinterpret my statement. I enjoy the insights of some of Paladin's posts and consider them relevant. But, if they no longer appear here, they will simply resurface elsewhere and be of no less value to those who consider then to be of merit.

Rants are pretty easy to come by on internet forums. You may have noticed. As a long time reader of many I frequently flip between horror and boredom as people are presented with an opportunity to say anything they want to... and do. I suspect P is a fine hustler, but his posts were mostly uninformative, by his own admission, to anyone who wished to learn about video poker. Though I don't play much positive expectation vp these days, I find your posts and those of folks like Nudge, Iggy, Bjay, Harry (when he decides to pop in) and several others far more interesting and valuable. And years of experience here leave me no doubt that the admin gave him ample and repeated warning before any action was taken.

I completely agree with this assessment.
