A silly, simple question that shows my ignorance

I don't remember the title. Probably something like, "A simple way to
estimate ROR (or maybe Kelly) Bankroll." Guessing it was printed in the late 90s.
Perhaps if you have all your articles filed in your computer, you can search
on "Kelly Bankroll."

I have been aware of the Sorokin formula since your article on that subject.
Since total accuracy is not a necessity for me in calculating ROR bankrolls,
the easy approximation has been my method of choice.

Several years ago, in a Video Poker Times article (Hi, Dan!), I read about a
simple way to estimate ROR bankroll. I can easily do it in my head when I
come across a new 100%+ VP play in a casino.

It is: Bet X Variance / Advantage = Kelly Bankroll (approx. 13.5% ROR)

Same here, AND if you multiply by 2.3, you get a good approximate of
1& ROR.
