A Short Note about Brad's latest heart "crisis"

Old age for us is never "routine"!

So many people had heard he went into the hospital by ambulance in the middle
of Tuesday night, I wanted to give an update so no one was unduly worried.

We thought it was just a "routine" A fib episode
(atrial fibrillation), but after extensive cardiac tests, some
irregularities were found. (Don't you hate it when the doctor tells you
they found something "funny." Somehow this never makes me laugh!)

Anyway they did an angiogram this morning and found 4 blockages, (ranging from 50-70%) in the same right coronary artery where they had put 2 stents after his heart attack in 2003. So a balloon angioplasty was done and 4 more stents were put in. Brad says the doctor probably gave him an extra 10 more good years with this procedure!

He is one of their favorite patients at Sunrise because he tells them all sorts of gambling stories. But it is pretty bad when everyone in the hospital greets you by name when you are admitted. Hope this fixes him up for awhile. He enjoys being in the hospital, I think - but my heart stops every time his goes irregular. I bet my hair is snow-white under the color!!!

Thanks to everyone who has expressed their concern. It is certainly good to have lots of friends during these crises!!!

He's doing fine and should be released tomorrow - good thing - we have BB to pick up in several casinos!
