A royal pain Slots Today article

Slots today had an article that royals may no longer be random on some of the
newer machines. I read the article in there distributed publication. To
access it online you need to be a member that is why I am not giving the link to
the article. If anyone has heard of this or read the article. I would like to
know what you think?

There is a similiar article in Gaming Today - it talks about Team
plays but then it leads right into that subject.

This long supressed UNLV Center for Gaming Research finding has begun
to leak out at last (well, it's been alluded to here in the past).
Yes, tin foil hats can alter the distribution of your cards ...
particularly if you think hard about honor cards.

Hello Harry.

I know that you are a strong believer in the use of a good quality
tin foil hat to ward off the evil non-random spirit. However, there
are others of us.....and we are MANY!.......who believe that Saran
Wrap is the proper material to use in these types of chapeaus.

In addition to altering the card distribution, and providing the
player with an inordinately high number of "RF scares" the Saran
Wrap hat provides other valuable benefits. It can be adjusted to fit
over the nose and mouth so that the player is protected against
the "germ fumes" emanating from the machine's buttons.

This feature is particularly useful when the player has popped 25
royal scares in an hour. The pliable, yet airtight Saran Wrap can
then be tightened over the player's head, providing an easy way out!

Try it! You'll be converted to Saran Wrap in the future.

Appropos of metal hats, I prefer the
Chernobyl times headline:

"Lead hats, stylish and sensible"

I just joined this list and this was one of the first posts I have
seen. Can somebody give me a cliff notes version of what the article said?

Thanks

Babe,

I can't believe you've fallen for that old myth. It has been verified
over and over that hat material doesn't matter, but you need lots of
buttons (like political or comic buttons) on your hat and shirt in
order to keep the CIA's VP control rays from affecting the machine
you play. Fifty buttons seems to be enough but I usually wear 70 to be safe.

I just can't believe you're spreading that rumor.

Regards,

Bill

My son told me about the Gaming Today article, so I picked up a copy
today, but it must have been an earlier edition. He said the article
quoted a team of VPers who believe the progressives they play seem to
have changed, and have filed a complaint with the Gambling
Commission. The team believes these banks hold back all RF's until a
preset level of play is reached, after which point it becomes
random VP. That's a pretty serious charge! My son heard this second
hand, so I can't be sure this is what the article said.

I certainly believe it. Both manufacturers and operators are gamblers
and love to risk their licenses for a small amount of money.

Bill, I concede that you have a point. However, you've forgotten
one vital piece of information! At lesat 50% of the affixed buttons
must be clear graphic images of past and present VP gurus.

As a matter of fact, I have two Bob Dancer buttons to trade for one
Lenny Frome. Let me know if you want to make a deal. I'm not
interested in a Skip H. button either. I have three already, and
haven't had a royal since December!

You are both wrong! A belly bag wards off all evils, including bad
