Very brief trip report. Dec 8-14 at Vegas Club.
I feel like I read a description of my room at
the VC in a prior trip report. No shower curtain
or tub/sink stoppers and carpet from the Eisenhower
administration. Pay for the upgrade to the North
Tower.
Gambling Highlights
Hit Ducese on DDW twice in 11 minutes.
Hit $2500 royal.
Hit $1172 royal.
Spent ~8 hours per day playing for bulk of trip.
Staff at LV club were great. Comped me anytime
I wanted and frequently solicited me. Limited
opportunties to use them though as they really
only have the great moments (I say great movements
because of the smell outside the restaurant) cafe.
The bums were extra thick downtown this year. They
need to have a program to discourage tourists from
giving anything to these guys/gals. Perhaps a
program that collects change at each casino exit
to help these unfortunates and an aggressive campagn
to tresspass them from every downtown casino. I get
it's difficult to openly discuss the homeless for fear
of discouraging tourism, but if current trends continue
downtown won't be tolerable soon.
Also had to endure country music 24/7. How many
novelty songs about chevy trucks are possible?
Saw lot's of cowboys and Brits for the rodeo and
Maywether/Hatton fight respectively. Give me the
cowboys any day. What's with the UK exporting
their soccer huligans to LV? Who needs it. While
they're musuc may suck and they drink like fish the
cowboys are respectful and polite. Some of the Brit's
behaviour was downright reprehensible.
Saw Mama Mia with my daughter. Fun show, a little
dated but great performances. Better singers than
dancers She enjoyed it, which was the objective.
Used goldstarevents.com. Good tickets at very
reasonable prices from them for 2 differenent
shows now. Feel comfortable reccomending them.
She was in town on business and our trips
intersected which was nice.
Came home with 2.5 times my starting backroll,
had a lot of fun but 6 days was too long.
