Could there be ANY justification to switch to a different machine
since the machine upon which one has won certainly has no memory

Well, I believe that the cards have no memory and I stuck it out on a machine
last night and after losing $160, it turned around and I cashed $300.
However, here's a thought - the exact moment you press "deal" is when the hand is
determined. Does anyone think you might have a better "rapport" with one
machine than another?

Yes. Just the fact if you stop for 10 seconds to take a sip of your drink, can throw off your losing rythum with the RNG. The same will happen if you quit one machine and change to another.
