Exactly correct. Just watch out for casinos with "Video Poker
Excluded" disclaimers. I don't know how things are in Nevada, but for
the casinos in my area (Mississippi coast) the VP exclusion for
multipoint days is very common.

Also be aware of any maximum point adjustments. For example the Fiesta
has 8x points this Friday on 8/8/08, but with a maximum point
adjustment of 88,888 points.
My game plan is to run $12,540 through the machines. That will give me
100,320 points (12,540 base points and 87,780 adjusted points).
The 100,320 points will give me $165 in free play (100,320/600 =
$167.20, rounded down to the $5 increment.)
Play the $165 in free play, which will still be earning the 8x points.
I'll earn another 1,155 in adjusted points (165 x 8 = 1320 - 165 =
1155).
So the total adjusted points will be 87,780 + 1155 = 89,935...just a
tad over the maximum.
