It seems that many vpFREE members are fixated on whether vp is still
legitimate, whether some casinos/manufacturers have tampered with
the randomness of the card selection, and most of all, whether their
win/loss ratio has been affected by this.
It would appear to me, that most of the opinions rendered,
especially in regard to win/loss ratios, have been based on purely
subjective data, such as "Quads/Deuces/Aces/Trips" etc. are "not
being seen" as often as in previous years. I personally, have NOT
had this experience, and, until I joined this forum, never gave a
thought to the possibility that perhaps I was playing a non-random
or biased vp machine. I am still very dubious that the machines are
rigged, both from personal experience and from reading the posts of
other members. However, because of all the controversy, I wonder if
it would be at all useful to poll the members on this subject?
For example, the poll could ask a number of pertinent questions,
such as:
1. Do you believe that vp machines are entirely random?
2. If not, are the casinos alone resposnsible?
3. Are the Manufacturers alone responsible?
4. Are the casinos & manufacturers coluding to "rig" vp?
5. Other than rumor and innuendo, do you have any proof that
this "rigging" has actually occured?
6. Win/loss records for 2003 substantially worse
than for 2002?
7. Win/loss records, so far, for 2004 substantially less
than for 2003?
8. If so, do you attribute this to "non-randomness" or fixing
of the percentage payback of the vp machine?
I, personally, would find it interesting to read the results of such
a poll. If the members, or Tom agree, I would certainly be happy to
participate in the poll.
