A Noisy Noise Annoys An Oyster

Greetings

Annoying people and things is a well worn. well discussed topic amongst
players who frequent that den of anniquity called the casino. Here is a list
of some of my irritating experiences which go along with the most
irritating of all...loosing!

1- Long conversations on the cell phone
2-Loud conversations with players not sitting next to each other.
3-Loud conversations with players sitting next to each other.
4-Banging the machine when not getting the hand you want.
5-Banging the keys.
6-One playing, the other coaching but not playing.
7-Smoking in a non smoking area
8-Smoking in a smoking area
9-Piped music that is not appropriate for most of the players

To name a few...

I work my butt off at work, which gives me the luxury of going to a casino :)..I do not EVER take a call when playing. I will however, read a text message if I am going to meet up with mate later.

I think this cell phone thing has gotten way out of hand. I bought into it for awhile, until the day I was off after working 45 days in a row without a day off and I was grocery shopping and got a call from work. I ended up on the phone for an hour while I was trying to have some basic personal time that I well deserved. After that, I hung up my phone for good. I do not take business calls when I am out..period. In fact, most times I leave my cell phone home unless as I said, I'm meeting someone later and need to connect.

Even texting has gotten out of hand. Our nephew and girlfriend are over for dinner, and they both were non-stop texting the whole time they were here. I'm not wound tight, but boy was it annoying :)..I see people walking and texting all the time..even driving and texting..

I do not think in my entire life, I've ever had anything THAT important to say that I was willing to walk down a crowded street completely oblivious to my surroundings.

I find these two the most annoying. I'm amazed at the number of people that sit at VP or slots and just pound on the buttons. Not only annoying, but no wonder the buttons don't work half the time.

I wish I could ignore my cell phone. Being self employed makes that an impossibility.

As far as what annoys me in a casino goes, I'd have to say it's kids or people blowing smoke in my face (especially cigar smoke). Banging on buttons and other such things I ignore.
