A Nice Run at Harrahs, Laughlin

Actually, incredible might be a better term.

My wife and I were in Laughlin this past weekend. On Saturday night, we
sat down at the 50 play 9/6 JOB machines.

Within no more than about 5-10 minutes, the person sitting beside my
wife (we later learned his name is Patrick), was dealt a straight
flush, followed shortly by dealt quads, then a dealt full house,
another dealt full house on the very next hand, and very shortly
thereafter, completed a Royal drawing (I think) to two cards.

This is the sort of thing we all dream about, folks, and, obviously, it
can happen.

We have all had the misfortune to sit beside some really obnoxious
people when we play video poker. It was a real pleasure to enjoy the
company of Patrick and his friend, Drew (VPdeuces), both that evening,
and the next day, at those 50 play machines.

I too met these gentlemen sitting at those non-smoking 50-plays, what the
first week of March? Vpdeuces has contributed alot to discussions about Vegas
and especially Laughlin over several years.

Did he tell you the white coffee cup/Seven Stars story?

Did they learn any lessons about only playing 47 hands when doing the dime
level? Vpdeuces was on a good run that March morning himself, scoring several
royals. Did they collect drawing tickets? Did they finally have a rubber
stamp made for filling out H-L drawing tickets?

Bluestreak, you always get me into trouble. On the advice of my
spiritual advisors, I no longer tell the Seven Star coffee cup story.

I did issue the 47 hand warning prior to play, but who really
believes they're going to be dealt a sf (not a word from you,
Dancer)?

Harrah's-L wasn't doing a drawing for the first time since 1969. And
no, I haven't made a rubber stamp yet.
