A Modest Proposal

Unlike the Hall of Fame voting, this could have a real benefit for every
member. Perhaps you could make it a requirement, and rely on the honor
system for enforcement

I don't consider mandatory posts to be desirable and voting in polls and
updating the DataBase is already a requirement.

From vpFREE Rules and Policies:

MEMBER PARTICIPATION: Every vpFREE member, as a
requirement for continuing membership, is expected to vote in all
applicable vpFREE polls and elections. Members are also expected
to report DataBase inventory changes in casinos they visit, unless they
consider a particular report to be detrimental to their best interests.

...you do think that most of the members are honorable?

Rather than spend my time with questions like that, I try to plan
for either possibility. I'll continue the windmill tilting and it will
either get results or it won't. As I've already said, I'm not planning
any compliance enforcement crackdowns.

One final thought on this topic.

Perhaps you could put it to a vote to all members if they wish to
make the contents of the "modest proposal" a requirement and change
the bylaws, and then ask members to nominate ideas for sanctions
against members who are not in compliance.
