A Miracle Comeback...Perhaps?

Howdy

I have presently lost over 1/3 of my accumulated bankroll which was at one
time was in the five figures. I play only .25 9/6 JoB.and have logged in 162
sessions this year playing maybe 2000 hands per. At my present rate I will
soon be down to one half. I have been playing for about 3 1/2 years and this
is the unluckiest streak I can remember

Has anyone out there had a similar experience and made a "miracle"
comeback?( Like recouping you money?)

I need a pep talk Mr. Rockne.

I was down over 12K earlier this year playing .25 and .50 games and now
I'm ahead by over 4K (not including CB). However, I have not been
playing negative games like 9/6 JOB.

Are you counting extra benefits like CB, Free Play, promotional extras like COD bonuses, etc. It would take lots of extras to expect to break even and/or win on a negative game. We rarely play positive games anymore but the extras and bonuses give us the expectation for long-term wins. We don't count comps, but extra cash and cash equivalents only. However, some people will count a reasonable value of their comps when they decide whether they are in the win or loss column.

Your expected loss for JB $400K CI is a couple of K. Hit a royal drought
and results could easily be worse. Are you accounting for cash benefits and
have you applied it to W/L?

I play a mix of denominations which has a volatile effect on BR and have had
some rocky years. A couple of years ago after taking a beating on mostly
quarter multiplays I was down about 8K towards the end of the year...
including BB and CB. It was pretty brutal. I could only hit quads playing
deuces, deuces playing JB and nothing playing SA --Or so it seemed. I was
even whiffing on royal draws in my dreams. Novemberish I made a trip to
Reno and popped a $ royal while working a quad bonus coupon and a 50 cent
royal 2 days later. Net win was almost $7K in the space of a few days.
Stuff happens.

Obviously your solution is to get lucky playing a $5 machine;-)

The NO table is a good way to understand your expectation playing
9/6JB. You've played 324,000 games. So, to have an 84% chance of
breaking even playing those games, the cash back must be 1.3%. If
cash back was .6%, it takes 3,425,000 games to have an 84% chance of
winning even. In other words, unless you defy the odds, it takes a
lot of games, and a lot of cash back, to get ahead playing 9/6JB.
The NO table lists many better games.
