There are some "independent" hosts (like Steve Cyr) who can make
arrangements with a casino to receive a percentage of a whale's losses, or of his total
play, in exchange for steering the whale toward that casino, and making
arrangements for any "special needs" during his stay there.
However, in general, hosts who are employees of one casino are salaried
employees. They might receive periodic bonuses based upon their customers' actual
losses, or on their customers' theoretical losses, or even on their
customers' total play, but they do NOT directly receive a "commission" based upon a
player's losses.
