A good Joint, the Pioneer Hotel & Gambling Hall

Sometimes you just want to scream at the clowns and the non-sense
that get presented to you on the way of trying to have a good Nevada
gambling experience. But no screaming today, just some praise.

If you folks ever have a chance to visit the Pioneer, please give
them a shake. I have been a Cowpoke (slot club jargon) since 1995.

This joint has a decent VP play and usually something going on to
augment it a bit. The rooms are getting better. The website and
response are tops.

I took my bud into this place the other day to have a beer or two,
mid-afternoon. The Watering-Hole bartops just past the front door is
all we needed. Our tender took care of us on the corner by the
cocktail station. The Gamemakers have Jacks and a COD was going.

My friend had enough beer to try some table game action. I am quite
comfortable playing BJ and Craps but he is not. We played some DD $3
BJ and the dealers did not care if I helped out a bit (alot). Some
guy bought in to play green and we walked, down a bit.

Next some Craps. My friend was a Craps virgin, but followed my
lead. The dealer at first base took so much time explaining the
game. I didn't have to say a word, except to demonstrate how to make
a pass-line bet for the boys.

It was a brief visit, but showed me again why I like this joint.

In the mid 90's I went to the Pioneer quite often during a 9-week
period.

The Video Poker was very good then.

I remember walking out of there with a fist full of "Bengies" quite
often.
