so i was out of money and on my way out of the casino (in atlantic city) and
thought, oh hell, let's go to the atm (against my better judgment) (sound
familiar?), take out just a bit (which i held to), and try one $5 machine just
to try to get four of a kind for a comeback. well, i didn't get four of a
kind--i got a ROYAL. 20,000 smackeroos!! i mean, let's hear it for 2005!
two 8k royals ($2 vp) the last two weekends, and now this. whew.
anyway, i figured while i was ahead, i might as well play a little longer
(sound familiar?). so i went to a triple play $5 machine, which i almost never
play since it's $75 a hand (choke) and after a bit i'm dealt the 10, jack,
queen, and king of diamonds--almost a dealt royal! so of course i hold them
and draw, and, mirabile dictu, i draw the ace of diamonds on the first line
for another $20,000 royal!! yahoo!! (this is pretty ridiculous for one day
since i don't play $5 normally.) but wait, i also draw the ace of diamonds
on the second line (i'm too tired to try to calculate the odds) for yet
another royal and another $20,000!!! three $5 royals in one day to a dollar
player, for $60,000! (i also hit two five of a kind joker jackpots, 4k and
2.5k, for a total of 5 jackpots for the day.)
once in a lifetime...had to share it with you.
