Since it's way out of my usual stomping grounds and I was sure that
someone here would know the answers, I decided to ask here first.
How fast are comps earned?
Since they are one of the "don't ask, don't tell" houses with regard to comps, it's not clear.
Estimates in the past were that comps were earned at a rate somewhere between .5% and .8% on VP. but that what is actually played may affect the rate of earnings. You can check you tier score on most machines now to see how close you are to earning Gold, Platinum or Diamond level. Thos points may or may not relate directly to comps earned. Some people have reported getting very little in comps from playing the best machines. Some people have claimed to have been cut off from event offers for a record of too consistent winning play.
Do they give cash back? If so, how much?
No. You get mailiers periodically with free play for bounce back, and some other minor coupons (usually a table game match play, and either dining or hotel hotel nights). With significant play, other offers for specific events (slot tournaments, table game tournaments, Reno concerts, etc.) are possible.
If not, what can comps be spent on? TIA for all responses.
Comps can be spent on room stay, restaurants on the property, and with host approval on the spa, salon and gift shop. Comps cannot be spent on tours, ski packages, and other things available at the concierge desk.
