A Dark Side To VP ?

Howdy

Unless you are a compulsive gambler or a professional "this game of ours" is
supposed to be entertaining and at times profitable to the lucky and /or
knowledgeable few.

You want to come home and have your pet greet you and not seek a bomb
shelter. Think about it. Are there days you return from your happy place and wanted
to kick yourself in the can for not quitting when you were ahead or had
reached your stop loss point and sabotaged those brilliant plans? Do you beat
yourself up bunky?

How about the rude players you encountered that seem to get more obnoxious
the more you lose?. The floor personnel who believe their 2 way radios are
loudspeakers for a Stones concert. Did any of these ruin your mood? Hey we all
have our irritants. The question is your overall experience, win or lose, a
positive one? Can you say at the end of the trip you were glad you chose to go

Do you let a bad run of luck...RF drought.. affect your overall demeanor?

I am probably extra sensitive to people in the casino or out for that matter
who are unaware that their behavior can stand some polishing in regards to
consideration of others.

Overall I am grateful I can spend time at the casino. It is my
entertainment.... time in or lose.

Whether its VP or any other "fun" activity, hopefully one can tell
thats its no longer fun before it ruins their whole day, week or life.

If its become a pain in the butt, pushes their buttons or makes them
window shop at gun shops, its time for a break.

The break might be a few weeks long or a short as it takes to walk to
another machine. There is no need to get an ulcer, heart attack or
police record.

Not to add salt to your wound (<smile>, and I sometimes feel your pain), but the word
around here is that you never quit while you are ahead, unless you never to play again.
