I am a new VP enthusiast from KY who enjoys traveling to Indiana
river boat casinos weekly with friends. Thanks for all the great
advice that I have found in this group. Maybe someone can help me
by answering a couple of questions:
1) If you are dealt 3 of a kind while playing JOB, does it make any
difference if you pause before hitting the "deal" button during your
attempt at scoring a quad? I read that a lady waits 30 seconds
before dealing the last card in order to improve her odds. Sounds
like superstition to me, but I dont have a great understanding of
how the random numbers are generated.
2) Also, if you keep only 2 cards from your first hand in JOB, will
the next 3 upturned cards be the same regardless of which 2 cards
that you originally held? Example, I held a pair of 8's instead of
a suited JQ earlier today- the next 3 cards dealt were the 10KA of
the same suit as the high cards. Did I make a "royal" mistake?

Makes no difference.

On some machines, yes, on others, no. IF you were playing on an old
IGT machine (before 2000) then, yes, you missed a RF. On the newer
machines the draw cards are not selected until you press the draw
button, hence, it's very unlikely your timing would not have been
exactly the same. If you were playing a non IGT machine then I have
no idea.
