Generally speaking, if you purchase a room package through a
hotel/casino (not through a third party) and the hotel/casino charges
your credit card for the full the amount of the package in advance,
is there any chance of getting reimbursed for that package at the end
of your stay based on play that would normally take care of your room
and maybe some of your meals? Or since money has changed hands,
would the best you could hope for be to have any meals charged to
your room picked up?
Generally speaking unless the transaction is with the hotel/casino DIRECTLY
there is not much chance you'll be comped for any of the charges in that
transaction. I'm not sure what type of package you are talking about, but I have
never had my credit card charged by the property directly for more than a night
of my stay in advance. In the event you are stuck with the package you may
still have meals and other expenses comped. You can check with the slot desk
after gambling to see if you're play qualifies for the desired comp on an ad hoc
basis, or you can simply put the charge on your room account. Check with the
slot club, preferably a host, BEFORE you check out to see if your play
qualifies to have any of those charges removed.
