The Casino Monitor job description has been changed, and no
longer includes the requirement to make a scouting visit once a
year.
New Casino Monitor job description:
"Casino Monitors maintain and update their adopted casinos'
DataBase pages. Familiarity with their adopted casinos is helpful
but isn't necessary. CM duties are primarily administrative in
nature, and most updates will result from reports that are posted
on internet forums (they should actively look for updates that
are posted on vpFREE forums) or that are sent privately to the
monitor. Personal scouting by the monitor is desirable, but isn't
a job requirement."
This change qualifies most vpFREE members to be monitors for any
casino. Members who value the DataBase and wish to see it updated
on a current basis no longer have an excuse for not serving as a
Casino Monitor for one or more casinos.
This change should encourage new volunteers as well as entice
existing Monitors to volunteer for more casinos. The more casinos
we have with Monitors, the more valuable the DataBase will be.
