I had just recently learned of the website, but I didn't know it had a way to produce strategies for custom games and pay tables. What a great site! Thanks!
SDDB isn't a particularly hard strategy to learn. As expected, many changes occur when one or more J's, Q's or K's are part of your original hand. And a dealt kicker can matter, as in TDB.
The greater difficulty is in even finding the game as 8/5 and not 7/5 or even more commonly as 6/5.
But assuming you find 8/5 SDDB always respect the variance of the game. If you get into a stretch with no 4Ks and few FHs, it's easy to run out of money before ever getting to any of those juicy "kicker" hands. As in any volatile game you'll have sporadic sessions of exhilaration but more often wish you'd opted for the tranquility of 9/6 Jacks.
As a side note, I personally play this game only when I am WAY ahead. I take my fair share of risks, as do all of you. But my recommendation is to not enter a casino committing your entire bankroll to a rollercoaster like SDDB. Instead, make it your "fun money" game to occasionally liven things up.
