9/6 JoB at Showboat AC

My fiance recently was at showboat AC 5/1/04. She is a slot player,
that only dabbles in vp, although she is familiar with vp paytables
thanks to me. She claimed to see some new 9/6 JoB machines @
Showboat by the row of spin poker machines against the wall.
Is anyone able to confirm this? If this is true, what a great sign
this would be for us A.C. players.

Hmmm ... maybe these are the 9/6 machines that the Administrator says
have been reported as missing from Harrah's AC ...

I was at Showboat 05/01/04 picking up the last of my CB while
simultaneously advising them I was not playing there again until
they got a decent inventory. To my knowledge there were no 9/6
JOB. I am assuming your wife is talking about the machines in the
newly expanded area, which contains about 5 Spinpoker machines on
one wall and 5 or 6 MS machines on the adjoining wall. There are no
9/6 pay tables on the MS and all the surrounding $.25 machines are
at the 7/5 or 6/5 pay table. There are a few 8/5 JOB $1 machines in
that area, however I checked the floor out pretty well and found
nothing playable.

I was at the showboat also on may 1, the database is right,if your
coming in from the boardwalk go towards the back of the casino
and turn right in the corner you will find 9-7 double bonus
machines and 9-6 double double bonus machines. I only spotted
2 each of them but they are there. they also have multi-strike
9-6 double bonus. hope this helps, George--

George,
You are correct. 9/6 MS DDB, 9/6 DDB, and 9/7 DB are availiable in
limited numbers, however they are all short pay with above average
variance. All aforementioned games are returning 99% (+/- .10%
depending on game) which is statistically significant when there are
99.54% JOB's freely availiable in AC now with much lower variance.
Of course Caesars JOB Prog goes positive quite frequently (see
todays post showing prog @ $3000 making for a 104% play!).
So I will give Showboat there credit . . . they DO have a FEW
shortpay machines

Jeff, that information on the showboat was to give the people
an option on what to play since down that end of the boardwalk
there really aren't any good full pay machines.
                       good luck, George

I noticed that Taj is adding a few 9/6 JOB in $ but you are correct
in that it appears that Showboat's end of the boardwalk seems to
think they have a captive audience, thus negating the need for good
plays. I'm going to AC this wends and thursday, so I'll check the
inventory again. Please send me a private email with additional
details of where she saw these machines (ie in the newly expanded
section near the boardwalk, in the video poker area, etc).
