9/6 full pay machine question jacks or better

9/6 JoB at full coin, assuming 4,000 coin Royal = 99.54%
9/6 JoB at less than full coin = 98.37% (ouch)

We all know the odds 99.5% for max coins but what are the odds if you
don't play max coins. I bet if you play less than 5 credits it's more
like 96% Does anyone know the odds for this? At Bally's A.C. they only
have 6 full pays and they are all $1 machines, and I don't like to play
$5 at a time as that can get up to some $$$

True enough, assuming you change your strategy appropriately ---
like ALWAYS holding a 4-card flush in preference to a 3-card royal, or
preferring an unsuited AJ or KJ to a suited 'JT' --- plus numerous other
plays. Practically speaking, nobody plays 9-6-250 strategy well as it is
ignored by video poker writers and people playing less-than-max coins
are unlikely to figure this sort of thing out on their own. Yes, there
are some strategy-creating programs out there (and there will be a new
one next month!) but using these programs for a single-coin strategy
must be fairly rare.
