9/6 Downgrade at Venetian and Palazzo

I thought they used to ADD 9/6 JoB during promotions like the Sweepstakes promo instead of removing them.

Anyway I had some free play earned last year that was going to expire on 12/31, so I went to the Palazzo on 12/11. I looked at the machines inside and just outside the Palazzo high limit room and found no $1, $2 or $5 9/6 JoB.. I did not look for higher denominations.

Has anyone found any 9/6 JoB in any denomination at either Palazzo or Venetian anytime recently? The last sighting posted here was in July.

The $2 9/6 JB at both the Venetian and Palazzo have been shorted to
8/5. I have played the machines in Palazzo and Venetian, both, in the
past, so I am familiar with the machines. In the past there were
occasions that the pay scales were changed temporarily during
sweepstakes promotions. There was no "sweepstakes" promotion going on
during my stay.

I also did a fair amount of scouting looking for $5 9/6 in both casinos. > I could not find one.

In short, I believe there are now NO 9/6 JB VP in any denomination at
Palazzo or Venetian.

I played 9/6 Jacks at Palazzo on 10/31/09, and I was there the day they pulled out the $2 9/6 Jacks (11/1-11/2 or 11/7-11/11).

The had two single-line games & two multiple-game machines (at least 3-play, but I don't remember if the Spin Poker, 10-play etc... also had 9/6 Jacks). A midwest lady & her husband were playing on Thu 10/29/09, and might have hit some big $100,000+ pays before they left.
  - I saw them hit a $8,000 club royal on $2 Triple-play.
  - She said they had hit $24,000 on two AWAK earlier.
  - I'll have to e-mail her to ask what the did to cause Palazzo to pull out the machines.
$2 was beyond my budget, so I was disappointed that Palazzo had nothing playable.

Two days later (Sat 10/31), I got $225 on the $5 Triple Gold Bars machine, so I played the $2 Jacks for fun. I put in $10 and lost, then started playing 1-2 credits, and hit a full-house on $2 9/6 Jacks single-line (at two units) for $36. Up +$20.

$2 was a bit over my video poker budget, so I was playing it as a 98.2% game (but there was nothing playing at the Palazzo under $2).

Sometime later (and I'm forgetting whether it was 11/1 & 11/2...or on my next trip 11/7-11/11), all four 9/6 Jacks machines were shut-down with a paper notes on the machines. I was wondering if they were holding it for my midwest couple friends....but no. The next day the machines were back up as multi-game (All-Star?) machines with 9/5 or 8/5 Jacks. I didn't find any 9/6 Jacks at $2. $5, $10, or $25.

Venetian/Palazzo may not want big video poker play.
Their Ultimate X DDB at $0.25 and $0.50 is 7/5 (the worst in town, 96.1-96.2%), and they only have 4 games at $0.50. Even Harrah's (the VP dump) offers more action than this at any of their casinos (including Imperial Palace).

At $0.05, they have 6/5 Jacks... (95.6-95.7%).

Their machines get a lot of $0.05 and $0.10 play, but almost no $0.25/0.50 play.

I searched in my gambling diary, and found the dates.

The machines were turned off 11/10 evening, and on 11/11/09 they had already been reprogrammed without 9/6 Jacks.
