That's the funny thing about this case - the casino & IGT readily admit that
that the sign showed the $80K+ jackpot when the plaintiff hit it. They're
basically just claiming "error" in the network that didn't update it fast
enough because someone else across town won 20 minutes previous. The
casino told this lady, "Yes, it said 80k but it should have said 20K, so
here's your check for 20K". Harrahs is just making up the rules as they go
along but it was truly IGTs mistake.
As I said, I think plaintiff should win this and Harrahs turns around and
recovers from IGT.

Since most people have cell phones with cameras, perhaps it would be a
good idea to take a photo as soon as you hit a progressive. maybe
photographic proof would make your case stronger.
