I was checking my reward credit balance at Harrahs yesterday when I
spotted something next to the rep. It was a big stack of coupon books.
Naturally, I asked if I could have one. Naturally, after five years
as a solid Diamond player, I was refused and curtly told, "New
members only".
I didn't like that answer and asked the rep to get a supervisor to
approve.
I eventually did get a coupon book, though then told "You only get
one. Don't ask again".
Whatever.
Anyway, there are at least three coupons per Harrahs property. Most
aren't that valuable (Free Beads??? Yeah, right). But examine
carefully and a few might come in handy: A free appetizer at a
restaurant you might go to anyway; 15% off your gift shop purchase
(excluding liquor or tobacco); plus discounts off services in the
various spas.
May not mean much to some of you, but might as well get the most out
of your gambling dollars. Even if you have to fight Total Rewards to
get it.
