We just returned from New Orleans and were told the same thing during check-in. VIP services told us they changed their policy because of the economy (although they say their "profit in NOLA is good"). Also, they actually told us they didn't want us sitting in the room watching movies when they would prefer we be in the casino gambling. We do enjoy watching movies, but trust me when I tell you that both of us didn't earn 7* status by sitting in the room watching movies. However, we were told that we could watch 2 movies each since we are both 7*...don't know if we were allowed to watch each other's movies <LOL>.
PS - We have made 6 trips to Harrah's NOLA since December 2008, and have never left positive.
