The advantage of the free trip is that you can go anywhere in the Harrah's
system, whenever you want to, and take a friend. You also get $500 in food or
spa (ask host to make sure of what is included in the $500). So if you live
on the East coast, you can go to Vegas or Tahoe. If you are in the west,
you can choose New Orleans or Atlantic City, etc. You fly on regular
airplanes (not charters), with Passport Travel making the plans. I have found it
best to find the flights and times I like, then pass this information on to
choose the times I like best.
You generally have to ask for this trip through your casino host at your
"primary" property. They then will pass on your request to Passport Travel and
the hotel where you want to stay. You may hear from the host at that property
as well.
It is best to ask at least 30 days before you want to go. Request a suite,
and you probably will get it.
On my last trip - to A.C. (from Vegas)- I was able to get a limo from the
Philadelphia area to A.C., and arranged to stay several extra days in
Philadelphia before A.C. Then a limo took me back to the Philadelphia International
Airport. The host was also gracious enough to book a 2nd room for a friend of
mine (a Diamond player) from Philadelphia. The host also booked spa
treatments, and we used some of the $ for food.
