6% surcharge PLUS 1% EXTRA SALES TAX????

I could say they 'incorrectly' are charging the tax to be nice, but the girls argued with me about it, and then argued that the tax was actually a surcharge, maybe they don't really know though, as they are high school girls. No doubt they are told what to say by the boss, then I was told by the casino that it was the casinos tax being charged in the stores, so I stay with 'illegally'. I think someone knew somewhere in the system, but I will say the casino personal that answered my email, might not have known, but they should have. As for the Oriental Arts store, they are the only ones selling the bars, and as most the stores mark up items 30-40%, they have to be greedy and go for 50% + on the gold bars. That is simply gouging, and I have no sweetness for the owners of that store. Send a copy of your receipt and a brief explanation that you paid the tax on the bar or bars.

When Mohegan suits have heard enough of the bitching, we want have to worry about the gold. They will have Oriental Fine Arts remove it from sale and we can go back to buying golf clubs and candles. For those who forgot already, remember the Odyssey store. Nobody is being forced to buy the gold at a "gouged" price, for those of us who do buy it's our choice. I'm sure most of us knew the tax was wrong but purchased the gold anyways. To me it"s still better than candles and golf clubs! Any small advantages that players have at casinos are dissapearing daily. Is this what we really want?
