6% surcharge PLUS 1% EXTRA SALES TAX????

Ok, here I am again, I called the state tax dept., they do get the 6% sales tax from the Sun casino. The only time they don't, is when it is an item made by the casino. Of course these bars are not made by them, ( PAMP Suisse are Swiss made) so they do 'not' get taxed, these bars fall under the tax rules that bullion over $1000 does 'not' get taxed in CT.. I have to send a copy of my receipt to the state and they will send my tax paid back to me. So simply, the Sun or Oriental Fine Arts, is illegally charging tax on these bars.

Excellent information. To be kind, perhaps we can say that Oriental Arts/Mohegan is "incorrectly" charging sales tax. So naturally we want a refund.

I'd also like to get a refund on the gold bar tax. Can you provide any details of where to send the receipt to?
