6/9 JOB progressive

If the attachment doesn't come through OK, let me know and I'll cut/paste it.

If you are a local as I suspect, then you're probablly happy at the Atlantis. I left there because of their re-setting the Player Rankings every year and also my Host told me I wasn't loosing enough. I posted about it way back when but it might be archived. "An Atlantis Story" is what I titled it, I think.

As to the Eldorado, it's all an out-of-towner could want. With $1 play 3 or 4 visits per year, I quickly achieved 'Preimier' status. It's one step below 'Whale' which is by invite only. I get invites to everything which doesn't come off the comp account. They often pay tips when I check out. I could opt for more free play instead of comps which is probablly for the locals. Craps credits your action with odds bets. Actual percentages I don't know, but I don't think it's a secret. My host was showing me my account last weekend when I was setteling up for the 2 suites I had for 4 days.

I've seen your posts before and I'd like to meet next time in town. I'll keep your email and let you know when I'll be there.

The real question here is...
What does Eldo GIVE you for your play? Free rooms whenever you want them? How much free play/cash back? Decent comps?
I'll be honest, out of the three in the triplex, I'd choose Eldo...

When the last $1-7/10 DB disappeared from the Eldorado a couple years back, I thought it was time to find another home. Well, thinks I, 6/9 JOB is nearly break even and with the smaller variance, maybe it was worth a try, especially with the progressive meter.

I had originally learned JOB in the early years when most 'good' play was 5/8. I think the first strategy I learned was from Stanford Wong. And that was the strategy I have used these past few years. That is until last weekend when I bothered to bring my Dancer Win Card. Well, jeez, there are a lot of differences. Seems that the SF keeps are a lot more numerous.

It hasn't been a problem though. I've been on LUCKY with more than my share of RF's, one at over $6000.

I've worked the numbers on this game as follows:

EV at 4000......................0.9954

EV = 1.0........................4880 JackPot

EV = 7/10 DB....................5186

Strategy Changes

With A,10 suited, Keep both at 4280
Keep J,10 suited over J,Q unsuited at 4099
At 4298, Q,10s over K hi

I've got the rest of them including all the 3-card RF draws over Hi Pr. Contact me direct if you want them. I'll also include my mailing in case you might want to compensate me for the 3 or 4 hours I've put into this.

I'm not a local (3 hours away; but I guess more local than you)
I'm also not a $ player..however I DO have a Gold+ card..and I've gotten NOTHING worth crap...
I'll have to give Eldo a second look...

I also think Eldo is the best downtown has to offer. I'm a $ player, out-of-towner (5 hours away). They gave me Gold+ based on one night's play of about $13,000 coin-in. Decent VP selection, comps are OK (but not great), mailers are pretty good. But their restaurants are the best I've tried in Reno.

Having said that, I'll take Atlantis over them any day. By judicious machine selection on multiplier days, you can really rack up some serious comps for your action. I've never had to pay for anything there in 4 years, plus I get invites to all their special events. I REALLY appreciate their non-smoking areas. You can play dollars in their high limit area and get top shelf booze, free food delivered to you, etc. Then there's the all-you-can-eat sushi bar, great Manhattan deli, really good upper end restaurants. What's not to like? Of course, it helps that I've had a losing record since I've started playing there. I suppose if I started winning more, they'd be less accomodating, but I'll cross that bridge when it comes.

It's interesting that Eldo treats you the way Atlantis treats me when it sounds like we have comparable play at each place. Makes you wonder whether more than just numbers (coin-in, win/loss, etc) go into their player evaluations.

Well, I sort of agree with you...
I'd take Atlantis over any other place for the comp dollar amounts...
However, I DON'T like the way I get treated there...
However, with a 1.44% comp accrual on NSUD, that's HARD to beat.
I'm going to give both Eldo and Atlantis a beating over the course of 2012...
